Advent:
Advent starts on the 2nd of December. Can you please check your room and let me know if you need candles or
a wreath for your Advent wreath before the end of November so you are ready for the start of Advent. You will also need to change your prayer table cloth to purple.
An idea that many classes have used in the past year during Advent is to do a class Kris Kindle. Some grades have donated money instead of buying a gift. The money has been collected and then a present has been bought for a child who is less fortunate than we are (Safeway and Kmart both have trees with children’s names on them). The children in your grade can still have a special person to look after in their grade but instead of buying a gift for them, they can do nice deeds for them instead.
Don’t forget there are heaps of Advent and Christmas resources to help with your Religion classes. These will be kept in the staffroom. Please feel free to use them but return them as soon as you are finished with them so everybody gets to use them.
Don’t forget to add any new resources, websites or activity sheets to your unit folders so we can continue to build up these folders for the future.
New Apps:
I have put some new apps on the ipads. They are bible stories: Bible Heroes: Jonah, Noah, and David. Each app has a story, some games and a colouring page.
Hope this is helpful. Let me know if there is anything I can help you with in regards to your Religion Lessons.
